The consultancy is led by Anne van Galen. She has an academic background (classics) and ‘hands on’ background as a police manager (Police Academy – post academic). Her practical background as a police manager as well as her part time occupation as an international mountain leader (managing real risks in hostile environments) have proven its usefulness in many research) and consultancy projects in which a profound understanding of human factors and the real life dilemmas of security, crisis management and resilience are at hand.
Anne van Galen has expertise in crisis management and provides advice on resilience, policy making in the public sector and high hazard industry. She previously worked for COT, the Dutch institute for safety and crisis management. Anne has researched the crisis management of several severe incidents in the process-industry and has worked in the area of SEVESO policy and the regulations on transport of dangerous goods. For the Rotterdam police she conducted a security and criminality scan for Europe’s largest port and industrial complex.
